TU GRAZ’s participation in this project will be represented by the Open and Reproducible Research Group (ORRG), based at the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science. ORRG uses evidence-based approaches to make research cultures more open, transparent and participatory through new practices and technologies. Combining philosophical and sociological approaches with computational and modelling methods, we research services, policies and tools to investigate and foster the uptake and evaluation of Open Science practices, including:

  • Open Access to research publications;
  • FAIR data and research data management services;
  • collaborative and open research methods;
  • reproducible research;
  • research integrity;
  • responsible research evaluation (especially open peer review).

The group is leading Graz University of Technology’s project to introduce research data management and Open Science infrastructure, and the team has rich experience from previous relevant projects, especially in the area of Open Peer Review and Open Science training. ORRG participates as a core member of the Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0, the Open Access Network Austria, Research Data Alliance Austria and is an associate partner in the project e-Infrastructures Austria plus. ORRG is led by Dr. Tony Ross-Hellauer.
