Lviv Polytechnic Project Office invites researchers to participate in the Cultural Heritage program

The Lviv Polytechnic Project Office invites University researchers to participate in the grant program Cultural Heritage from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

Projects submitted to the competition must include research aimed at studying, preserving and restoring the cultural heritage of Ukraine in the context of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation.

The purpose of the project is to create new and update existing exhibitions, digitize printed materials, archival documents, etc., restore and digitize objects of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, create interactive library and museum spaces, implement archival, library and museum services available online, organize a wide range of live and online activities, in particular for low-mobility (inclusive) categories of the population, introduce immersive technologies, etc.

As part of the Cultural Heritage program for 2023, the following three lots are offered.

  • LOT 1. Digitalization. It includes financing of projects aimed at supporting and creating expositions, updating existing ones using modern technologies, digitizing printed materials, museum objects, archival documents, audiovisual materials, architectural and archaeological monuments.
  • LOT 2. Cross-sectoral projects for the preservation of cultural heritage. Of particular interest are projects aimed at researching cultural heritage, in particular objects that have been damaged, need protection, or are in a zone of increased danger from destruction. In addition, the focus of the program is on supporting projects aimed at the implementation of digitization of museum services, in particular for the purpose of creating a wide range of mobility for inclusive categories of the population
  • LOT 3. Study of the historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine. The specified lot includes support for cultural projects which are aimed at building self-awareness and countering the narratives of Russian propaganda, developing products that contribute to the establishment of Ukrainian identity and the popularization of Ukrainian cultural and historical heritage.

The budget of the program is 35 million hryvnias.
