For many years Lviv Polytechnic National University has been successfully implementing the project of Innovative educational, research and production complex «School – College – University – Enterprise». The main goal of the Complex is to attract talented young people to study at Polytechnic, to create training effective program for specialists, starting from the school desk. Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Education and Social Development, tells in more detail about the functioning and prospects of the project.
– Please, tell us more about the School-College-University-Enterprise model.
– Innovative educational, research and production complex «School-College-University-Enterprise» at Lviv Polytechnic National University, is created by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on May 26, 2010. Establishment and operation of the Complex is a requirement of modernity, as such structures, within the current legislation, can successfully ensure the integration of secondary and higher education, form the content of continuing education, qualitatively provide vocational education in secondary school, conduct meaningful career guidance, select and train talented youth, and allow entrants to make the right choice. Also on the basis of the Complex, by the Order of the Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University dated March 13, 2015, the College of Innovative Technologies was established as a structural unit at the Institute of Enterprise and Advanced Technologies. In accordance with the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine «On Professional Higher Education» and the requirements for acquiring the status of a professional higher education institution, by the Order No. 8 348–1-10 on July 16, 2020 of the Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University the College was renamed into Professional College of Innovative Technologies, Institute of Enterprise and Advanced Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
– What is the basis of this innovative educational, research and production complex?
– The complex is the implementation of a new model of training, the idea of which was formed due to the study of European standards of the education system and the requirements of Ukrainian modernity. It is based on the improved system of specialists’ taining.
– What is the uniqueness and importance of the Innovative educational, research and production complex «School – College – University – Enterprise»?
– The uniqueness of the complex highlights clear advantages for its participants: experience and adaptation to university education, specialized training under education programs, involvement of junior bachelor students in scientific activities with the possibility of testing their own research, practical vocational training, as well as conditions for professional self-determination.
