On October 23–27, 2023, at the invitation of the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan, representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University- Orest Vasylko, the head of the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation, a teacher of the Italian language, and an assistant at the Department of Applied Linguistics, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, and Nadiia Harmatii, a third-year student of the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, visited Italy.
Nadiia became the winner of the competition launched in April 2023 by the Institute of Photography in Milan in cooperation with the curator Alessia Locatelli and our University. More than 20 students of Lviv Polytechnic took part in this competition. They showed their everyday life through a selection of photos taken with a camera or smartphone. Six of them received winner certificates.
Within the framework of the visit to Milan, there were a number of important meetings with the management of the Italian Institute of Photography, where issues of further cooperation were discussed. Nadiia Harmatii took part in the training program on photography techniques, which was prepared for her by the Institute specialists.
There was also a video conference on the Zoom platform with the participation of Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Lviv Polytechnic, Maurizio Cavalli, Professor, Director of the Institute of Photography, Victoria Fufalko, the representative of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan, and Orest Vasylko, an interpreter. As a result of the meeting, our University and the Institute of Photography in Milan received support for further cooperation from the Consulate General.
According to the management of the Italian Institute of Photography, our cooperation will continue. There are lots of interesting ideas and new joint projects to implement.
