Student teams majoring in construction, architecture and engineering are invited to participate in GO buildit – a multidisciplinary competition in virtual construction. The event was organized by BUILDIT Ukraine, a public association whose activities are aimed at implementing changes in the construction industry through the modernization of the education system.
Participants will:
- develop their own project in the conditions close to real;
- work with tools for information modeling of buildings and structures;
- present the project to the customer.
Peculiarities of GO buildit competition
- Real work in the construction project team. The participating teams will work in the conditions of simulating the creation of a real project from the customer.
- Multidisciplinarity. Work on the task covers the full cycle of work from concept development to the presentation of the project to the customer. The main focus is VDC-processes (Information modeling of buildings and structures), which include interconnection coordination, 4D logistics, energy efficiency and calculations.
- Teamwork. The competition involves teamwork, which allows each participant to develop their soft skills and learn to interact with different project systems.
Key dates
- Registration – until March 6.
- The first stage – March 7 – April 13.
- The final is on April 29–30.
To participate in the competition you need to make a team of 4 participants. The ideal team includes:
- manager (student or teacher);
- architect;
- design engineer;
- systems engineer.
Participants and winners will have the opportunity to get a place among the interns of the companies – partners of the competition.
