During their visit to our University, specialists from the Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) met with students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations and organized an interactive training for them. The first-, second- and third-year student majoring in International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies took part in the training.
Olena Kostyniuk, Head of the Educational Center of the VRU, spoke about the peculiarities of the work of the parliament, in particular in the conditions of martial law, and told about the most significant events of its activity in recent years.
After an interesting lecture, which was more like a dialogue, the students were divided into teams, each of which received the task of working in one of the committees and presenting their solutions within a certain time.
According to Professor Mykola Buchyn, the Department of Political Science and International Relations, this event gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they gained at the lectures in practice, and thus understand how the legislative body of Ukraine works.
The co-organizer of this training is the American Council for International Education, whose representatives also attended this interactive event and talked to students of our University.
