On April 18–19, Lviv Polytechnic hosted the International Conference on Innovative Technologies in the Development of Modern Society, organized by the Institute of Enterprise and Advanced Technologies.
– The annual, already fifteenth scientific and practical conference, which is carried out by IEAT, has become international. This is a result of the Lviv Polytechnic’s strategy, the level of scientific work of the Institute and the intensification of international scientific cooperation, said Yosyp Khromyak, IEAT Director, in his welcome speech.
According to the cooperation agreements with Polytechnic’s partner universities, the organizers and participants of the conference were representatives of six foreign universities in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
More than a hundred and fifty people, in particular, more than 20 undergraduate students, participated in the conference. Among the participants there were also scientists from many Ukrainian and European universities.
Solemn opening and plenary meeting took place in the main building of the university. The scientists presented their reports on decentralization in Ukraine, environmental issues and higher education reform. In addition, Roman Hudzin, IEAT student, the winner of the All-Ukrainian contest of students’ scientific papers in the field of financial security, by order of Acting Rector was awarded a diploma of Lviv Polytechnic for his achievements in study and active scientific work.
Section sessions took place at the IEAT and were divided thematically. There were reports on innovative IT technologies, innovations in economics, finance and marketing, social and humanitarian development of the information society, as well as on modern educational technologies of higher education. There were presented about two dozen reports in foreign languages. The Organizing Committee has already prepared an electronic collection of abstracts of participants’ reports.
