Expressing our gratitude to our soldiers is something we should do every day, and today, on the Defender of Ukraine Day, is especially so. Therefore, let’s pause in our life’s troubles and fuss and remember those who are now fighting in the hottest battles, beyond their strength, beyond their capabilities, defending our land and each of us. Let’s remember those who experience inhuman abuse in captivity. With a prayer, let’s pay tribute to those who died on the battlefield...
Today we celebrate both the Intercession of the Theotokos and the Defender of Ukraine Day. Thus, today it is the time to reflect on the great power of love that guides our soldiers. And it is time for a special unity around the common goal of victory, peace and prosperity of Ukraine.
Congratulations to those Polytechnic students who, from the first days of the full-scale invasion, left their usual way of life and went to fight, because «if not we, then who?». Their feat, their patriotic aspiration should inspire us to understand that no one but us will save our country, no one but us will make life in our country better, so let’s work, support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and ask God and the Most Holy Mother of God in our prayers for protection and guardianship, victory, and peace!
