Today, in the hall on the second floor near the Assembly Hall, Prosvita People’s House traditionally greeted Polytechnicians with Christmas. The creative bands, under the leadership of director Stepan Shalata, surprised everyone present with well-known and new carols as well as colourful congratulations. The rector and representatives of the leadership also attended the performance.
The idea of patriotism, commemoration of the feat of our defenders, belief in a miracle and the earliest possible victory ran through the entire event. In poetic greetings, they wished all Polytechnicians good health, hope, long life, strength, respect from people, and above all, love and peace. And to our university – new achievements and prosperity.
Christmas carols on current topics made those present think again about the high price they have to pay every day for the opportunity to live on their land. And the well-known carol «New joy has come» and the song «Mnohaya lita» were sung together with all Polytechnicians.
The performances of our female bandurists, the modern Christmas carol «There in Bakhmut», dedicated to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the world-famous «Schedryk» and many other musical pieces gave us the spirit of a real Christmas today. So, joining the greetings of the Prosvita People’s House, we wish prosperity and well-being to all Ukrainians and our large University family. May the carols be sung, the house smells of kutia, and peace, and may harmony and love reign in a heart!
