Under the supervision of IARCH lecturer the participants of City Makers’ Course Lviv studied how to proceed from analytics to decisions

The fourth training session for the participants of City Makers’ Course Lviv – architects and public activists in the field of urbanism – has been recently completed. The curators were representatives of Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany) – Marcus Otto, Professor, architect, urbanist, Christoph Wessling, architect, urbanist, as well as Anton Kolomieitsev, Candidate of Architecture, assistant at the Department of Architectural Design of the Institute of Architecture of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Stefan Gabi, Expert in Urban Planning of the City Institute, and Maksym Terletskyi, project manager of the City Institute.

During this module, the participants finished to work on previous modules and started to develop slogans, visions and frameworks for regional development.

Anton Kolomieitsev said that during this training session, the participants of City Makers’ Course Lviv learned how to proceed from analytics and strategy building to specific spatial solutions. They learned how to deal with large, complex and extremely heterogeneous urban areas and developed plans for their transformation.

City Makers’ Course Lviv is a study program in the field of urban development. The project was created jointly by Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany), NGO Stadtagenten (Germany) and the City Institute (Ukraine). Training is funded by German Federal Foreign Office.
