Olya Svystun, a student of Lviv Secondary School No. 43, tells:
«I wanted to create something new that would be useful to society, to gain new knowledge, that’s why I registered to participate in the project. I learned about it because I followed the news on the Facebook page of the Tech StartUp School. At first, I hesitated, because taking the first step is always scary, but I overcame my fear and decided – why not!»
Olia reached the finals and became one of the winners of the project «Supporting the development of youth entrepreneurship among IDPs», organized at the beginning of this year by Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic National University, with the support of the USAID project «HOVERLA» and Lviv Regional Military Administration.
This and other Tech StartUp School training programs are a great opportunity for students to get free up-to-date knowledge, listen to trainers with extensive experience, and most importantly, the opportunity to study online and attend bootcamps and demo days.
«I didn’t regret for a moment that I took part in the program, what’s more: now the School’s page is one of those that I visit every day so as not to miss new, interesting offers and join the projects», adds the girl.
At first, Olia worked independently on two ideas, since she could not make up her mind, and then, on the recommendation of the coach, she settled on the idea of a security guard, as its implementation in the modern world is extremely necessary:
«I am very happy that my idea, which I presented in English, took second place».
To bring Olia Svystun’s project to life, first of all, she needs additional knowledge of robotics and 3D modeling and printing, so now the girl is concentrating on acquiring them:
«In my opinion, this is a kind of continuation of the project to bring the idea to life. For this purpose, I joined the Startup Batiary 4.0 project and I am very pleased that I have this opportunity. And thanks to the «Development of Youth Entrepreneurship» project, I developed confidence in myself and my abilities, gained a lot of useful experience and knowledge in robotics, got to know interesting people with whom I keep in touch until now, and set a goal for myself, to which step by step I’m getting closer every day!»
