Dementii Priadko is a student of the Department of Information Security, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, and the developer of a chatbot in Telegram, which generates an image with a colour painting based on a given text and which was created according to the manual of the artist and architect Florian Yuriev in 1959. The primary source of this news was the kinotron Telegram channel, which specializes in experimental, documentary and scientific movies.

It is worth noting that Florian Yuriev was a famous Ukrainian teacher, composer and art critic, as well as the founder and vice-president of the Modus Coloris International Academy. He also is the architect of the building of the Institute of Information in Kyiv (Flying Saucer on Lybidska) and the project of the underground pavilion of the Khreshchatyk subway. In the 20th century, the artist developed a scheme for his own theory of the colours of music: he used corresponding geometric shapes and colours to denote sounds. That is, it is a kind of way of «seeing sounds and music».

The Polytechnician got inspired by this, as the original method of coloured phonetic transcription can be used not only to create a colour painting of new poetry and music, but also to analyze existing works.

– I came up with the project idea after I saw an explanation of how colour painting works. I decided that this could be a very interesting task from the point of view of programming, and at the same time this work will be related to painting and Ukrainian poetry, says Dementii.

The young Polytechnic student developed the initial version of the bot, which supported the input of one word at a time, for almost two evenings, and it took him another three evenings to optimize it. In general, Dementii Priadko spent two weeks on creating his own project, while simultaneously doing the main work.

Currently, the maximum number of characters that can be entered into the bot at one time is 400. The maximum number of characters per hour is 4000, and the maximum processing time is 15 seconds.

In order to receive an image, you need to send a message to the bot with text broken into syllables using dots. The favorite image of Dementii, generated by the bot, is a colour painting of the poem «Tram Driver» by Mykhail Semenko.

Dementii Priadko noted that in the future he would like to add automatic syllable division, the ability to place accents, and the support for Esperanto. According to him, 47 people have already used the bot after it was published in the Telegram channel. The name of the bot is Kolorscribot.

Currently, the student is only in his second year of study and has many plans for the future.

– I am studying Cyber Security – I chose it because I started working as a programmer even before I entered the university, and I believe that in-depth knowledge in this field will be very useful in the future. I plan to further develop as a specialist, to combine the skills acquired at work with the knowledge acquired at the university. There are a lot of ideas, but there is not much time for their implementation, said Dementii Priadko.
