On January 26–29, 2022, the 3rd International Scientific Symposium «Sustainable Development – the State and Prospects» took place in Slavske on the basis of Polytechnic-2 Recreational Camp. It was organized by Lviv Polytechnic National University, Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development, and co-organized by the All-Ukrainian Ecological League.
In total, more than two hundred scientists from different cities of Ukraine, including Poltava, Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Pokrovsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Sambir, Kremenchuk, Sumy, and Dnipro, as well as foreign participants from Poland, America, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Germany, took part in the conference.
Professor Oleksandr Moroz, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Director of Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development, Lviv Polytechnic, opened the Symposium. He welcomed the participants and wished them success.
At the plenary session the reports of M. Maliovanyi, Ya. Humnytskyi (Lviv), I. Vaskina (Sumy), Yu. Zelenko (Dnipro), O. Stepova, O. Hanoshenko (Poltava), and Z. Tartachynska (Lviv) were presented. There was also a direct connection with colleagues from Germany M. Tafel, J. Schultheiß, and M. Reiss (Geisenheim). The section meetings continued in accordance with the theme of the symposium.
In general, the reports of all participants were interesting and diverse and covered climate change, monitoring and management of protected areas, environmental safety, wastewater treatment technology, ambient air, soil pollution prevention, and environmental expertise of goods, business, tourism and recreation, etc.
The materials of the participants’ reports were published in the proceedings of the III International Scientific Symposium SDEV’2022.
