Culture Without Barriers, a grant program from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation

To the attention of Lviv Polytechnic researchers!

The University Project Office informs about the launch of the Culture Without Barriers, a grant program from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

The total budget of the program for 2024 is 27 million hryvnias. The applications are accepted from November 15 till January 15.

The program includes 2 lots:

  1. Support for artists with disabilities (budget from 300 to 800 thousand hryvnias);
  2. Barrier-free society (budget from 500 thousand to 1 million hryvnias).

Within the framework of the Culture Without Barriers program, all sectors of culture and creative industries will be supported:

  • audiovisual art;
  • visual art;
  • audio art;
  • performance;
  • cultural heritage;
  • literature;
  • cultural and creative industries (cross-sectoral projects).

The goals of the Barrier-Free Society program are:

  • to expand access for low-mobility population groups, persons with limited physical capabilities, in particular people with disabilities as a result of the war to the creation of a cultural product and involvement in the cultural and artistic life of Ukraine;
  • to develop the creative potential of artists with disabilities and promote their professional growth;
  • to integrate inclusive artistic practices into the cultural environment of Ukraine;
  • to contribute to the creation of an inclusive cultural and artistic product;
  • to contribute to the support of inclusive art education in Ukraine;
  • to contribute to the creation of a barrier-free living environment in the social, cultural and educational spheres for groups with reduced mobility, people of the third age 50+, families with children under 6 years old, and persons with disabilities;
  • to promote the principles of a barrier-free society in the Ukrainian community by overcoming prejudiced, stereotypical or discriminatory attitudes towards people with disabilities and other low-mobility population groups;
  • to foster in society respect for the rights of the less mobile population through the support of cultural and artistic products that raise awareness to inclusion.

The main products of Lot 1 can be:

  • inclusive editions;
  • exhibition/exposition;
  • video content;
  • radio content;
  • telecast;
  • collection/ fashion show;
  • creation of an art object.

The main product of Lot 2 is an inclusive cultural and artistic project.

The implementation of projects, including reporting, will take place until October 15, 2024. The type of participation can be individual, national and international cooperation.

Legal entities of all forms of ownership or an individual entrepreneur registered on the territory of Ukraine, excluding the temporarily occupied territories, in accordance with current legislation (with no restrictions on the registration period), can apply for the grant program.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2024 (until 18:00 Kyiv time).
