For over 40 years of its existence the Department of Automated Control Systems (ACS) of ICSIT has always paid great attention to international cooperation, in particular the training of engineers and masters for Cuba, European, Asian and African countries.

Currently, our researchers collaborate with the University of Toronto (Canada), Zwickau and Nuremberg Universities of Applied Sciences (Germany), the University of Twente (the Netherlands), Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Rzeszow University of Technology (Poland). The most fruitful educational and scientific relationships were developed with Vienna University of Technology, Kingston University London, the Silesian University of Technology and the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of Polish Academy of Sciences.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, currently there is only teacher exchange between Kingston University and Lviv Polytechnic: academics share the results of scientific research, deliver lectures and organize classes.

ACS Department is the co-executor of two major international educational projects Erasmus+ KA2, in which many foreign and Ukrainian universities take part. Currently, 10 Polytechnic Master’s students study under the program.

The scientists of the ACS Department together with their colleagues from the Vienna University of Technology won the grant for the Ukrainian-Austrian research project Modeling of Traffic and Telecommunication Networks. Also they apply to participate in other Erasmus+ mobility programmes and hope to win Jean Monnet module.

Winfried Auzinger, Professor from Vienna University of Technology, was recently visiting the Department.

It is very important for me to cooperate with Ukraine, especially with Lviv region, which is historically related to Austria, said the Professor. – For more than 10 years I have been coming to the ACS Department, together with my colleagues we discuss new issues of publications and plan further steps in organizing scientific researches. In addition, I have a lot of friends here. This is also one of the reasons why I am ready to continue developing relationships with Lvivites.
