Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) international university ranking is one of the leading ranking in the world. This year, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ranking, they significantly evolved their methodology. These changes reflect the shifts in higher education that have occurred over the past two decades, such as the growing importance of sustainability, employability, and research collaborations. They introduced three new indicators: sustainability score (the ecological component of university activity), employment outcomes, and an international research network, and rebalanced the weights for other indicators.
