The opening of the 6th International Scientific Conference on Oxide Materials for Electronic Engineering – Fabrication, Properties and Application took place on September 29 at Tech StartUp School. Dozens of physicists, chemists, crystallographers, materials scientists, engineers and technologists gathered at Lviv Polytechnic to discuss new achievements and development prospects in the field of creating materials for modern information technologies and energy conversion technologies.

– Lviv Polytechnic is honoured to organize the scientific meeting, which brought together many researchers and engineers of several educational and scientific institutions of our city, which deal with current issues of modern science and technology in the field of oxide materials, – said in his welcome speech the organizer of the conference, Professor Serhii Ubizskyi. – This conference was supposed to take place in 2020, but the pandemic prompted us to change the date of the conference. We are very glad that even under these circumstances, more than 100 participants decided to take part in OMEE-2020. We are also especially glad that 36 young scientists are taking part in our conference. They will have the opportunity to communicate with experienced scientists, discuss the results of their research, learn about new trends, as well as exchange knowledge and ideas in a particular field of science.

We will add that the conference will last until October 2. During this time, plenary, sectional oral and poster presentations will be heard on topics covering fundamental and applied research problems in the following sections:

  • Technology of functional materials fabrication;
  • Materials fundamentals: crystal structure, defects, interactions;
  • Nanoparticles, nano-ceramics and nano-composites;
  • Resistivity switching and transport phenomena;
  • Materials for quantum and opto-electronics and detectors of radiation;
  • Magnetic materials, multiferroics, superconductors;
  • Materials for sensing and catalysis;
  • Biomedical applications of oxides and related materials.
