On March 22, third-year students of the Department of Tourism, Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development, Lviv Polytechnic, listened to the first lecture of the international optional course «Digital Cultural Landscapes – New Opportunities for Ukraine», developed and taught by Dr. Jörn Schultheiß and Dr. Martin Reiss from the Geisenheim University, Germany.
As part of the course, students will be able to create objects in the popular in Germany and other countries information system KuLaDig, which has already included more than 40 unique Ukrainian monuments. Many cultural heritage sites in Ukraine have already been destroyed or damaged during the war by Russian troops. Therefore, this course is especially relevant right now.
By the way, the academic community of the Geisenheim University as well as the developers of KuLaDig expressed their solidarity and support for Lviv Polytechnic National University: objects from Ukraine were declared «Objects of the Month» by the end of April.
