Giuseppe Granata is a representative of the Universitas Mercatorum in Rome, Italy, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Management and Marketing, Scientific Supervisor of the MBA in International Business, Marketing Director of the Consortium for the Internationalization and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, member of the Italian Society of Management (SIMA), and member of the Accademia Italiana di Economic Aziendale (AIDEA). Recently, for a month, he has held a series of lectures on International Management at the Department of Management and International Business, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic.
The series of lectures was organized with the assistance of Professor Oleh Kuzmin, Doctor of Economics, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, and Professor Nataliia Stanasiuk, Doctor of Economics, Deputy Director of Department of Management and International Business.
The meetings took place on the Zoom platform. The lectures were translated by Orest Vasylko, teacher of the Italian language, assistant at the Department of Applied Linguistics, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, head of the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation, Lviv Polytechnic.
During the lectures, the following issues were discussed:
- strategies and methods of entering international markets;
- agreements on international cooperation;
- methods of international trade;
- sales channels.
Before the start of the last meeting, Professor Oleh Kuzmin, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, Doctor of Economics, and Professor Nataliia Stanasiuk, Doctor of Economics, Deputy Director for International Activities, the Institute of Economics and Management, addressed the participants and expressed her gratitude to the representative of the University of Rome, Giuseppe Granata, for organizing and holding the event. They also expressed hope for close cooperation in the future. Professor Liana Chernobay, Doctor of Economics, Acting Head of the Department of Management and International Business, also emphasized the importance of holding these lectures and the relevance of the cycle topic.
At the end of the lectures, Giuseppe Granata emphasized the importance of international management, namely that it is a part of the theory of the market economy, which studies the regularities of the management sphere of economic entities of different state affiliations in the field of international exchange of goods, the movement of production factors, the formation and financing of international economic policy.
Students of the Department of Management and International Business, who attended the lectures of Giuseppe Granata, had the opportunity to ask and discuss issues that interested them, as well as learn about the educational process, study conditions in Italy, and opportunities for students.
