25 young scientists of Lviv region, representing 18 educational and scientific institutions, gathered at Lviv Polytechnic on February 17 at the regional meeting of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Ivan Demydov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Olesia Vashchuk, Anastasiia Simakhova and Andrii Khorolskyi, Heads of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as well as Anatolii Ihnatovych, Associate Professor, ECM Department, Lviv Polytechnic, the Head of the Lviv Regional Branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, joined the discussions on the potential of youth science, opportunities and challenges for young scientists in the region.
Three blocks of issues, including a presentation of the activities of the Council of Young Scientists, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the activities of the Councils of Young Scientists of higher education institutions of Lviv region, as well as problematic issues, including possible amendments to some laws in Ukraine regarding the award of scientific degrees were discussed at the meeting. The participants exchanged experiences on their own research projects.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to intensify further cooperation and joint research.
