On September 4, 2018, a new educational and research laboratory for electric drives and automation systems equipped by Siemens AG Concern will be opened on the basis of the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems in Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Location – room 141 in the main university building (12 S. Bandera Str.). Beginning at 10:00.
Over the past few years, up to two dozen modern educational and research laboratories, co-organized by world-known companies, operate in Lviv Polytechnic. They enable to provide high quality engineering education, intensify substantive and effective scientific research that can be applied in practice. One of such new structural subdivisions is the announced educational and research laboratory for electric drives and automation systems from Siemens AG Concern. It will operate in the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems which is systematically engaged in strengthening its logistics base.
The Institute has lots of modern educational and scientific laboratories: in particular, there are centers of such companies as Inter-Elektrokomplekt and Schneider-Electric, ABB and Siemens. The Institute implemented integrated training in cooperation with universities of Central and Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Estonia and Lithuania) in the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, where Polytechnic students annually receive an international scholarship, and for a year study at the University of Applied Sciences in Gissen (Germany).
