The war took everyone by surprise, even those of us who were at least somehow preparing for a possible attack. So many in the first days of the war were not ready to radically change their lives. Still, there are many who have gathered strength and chosen the path that will bring us closer to victory. For example, Nadiia Kopiyka, a second-year master’s student at the Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Systems, have decided to become a volunteer. From the first days of the war, the girl has been actively helping to weave camouflage nets at the Student Volunteer Headquarters.

Today, Nadiia devotes all her time to volunteering, which she puts in the first place. She does not consider her contribution to our victory to be something unusual - for her to help the Homeland in such a difficult time is rather her call of conscience.

"I don't have to find the strength to come here, it's my duty. What else can I do - sit at home and read the news?" My father is at the front, my mother is under fire in Mykolaiv, and volunteering is the minimum I can do for our victory”, the girl said.

During the war, for the Ukrainians of the rear, to help their army has become a significant part of their lives, and it will not disappear immediately after the victory. Everyone chose the field in which he will be most useful, Nadiia found her way in volunteering. The girl is the daughter of a military man and understands the importance of camouflage, as it often saves the lives of our defenders. She works seven days a week, but does not condemn those who began to come less often. She understands that such a rhythm of life is difficult to maintain.

“Volunteering has already become a part of my life, so I will continue to do it for a very long time, although I have a profession that will be a priority after our victory. In my opinion, as a design engineer, I will bring more benefits to my country than when I weave nets. But now weaving is more necessary", says the volunteer.

The girl is burning with desire and is ready to rebuild our country. Her passion can really be envied. The volunteer has already found her niche in life - she works as a design engineer and loves her profession. But today she is in the Student Volunteer Headquarters, and her work and study have to wait a little bit.

"When it comes to rebuilding the country, there will obviously be a lot of work for design engineers. And when there will only be an opportunity to go to work in the specialty, of course, I will do it right away, because my work will be very useful", continues Nadiia.

The volunteer, like the military on the front line, will stand to the last, because, according to her, the victory concerns each of us. By joint efforts, we will inevitably defeat the enemy, each working on his own front, because today even the slightest help is important. Therefore, Nadiia calls for time and volunteering, because there is a lot of work in this direction.
