Greetings from the rector of Lviv Polytechnic on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine

Rector of Lviv Polytechnic
Фасад головного корпусу Львівської політехніки

«Oh God, help us to love Ukraine more than anything today – help us not to love it bitterly after we lose it...», – with these prophetic words of Viacheslav Chornovil, we pass through all the years of independence of our state. But only now, when the enemy is erasing our cities and villages from the face of the Earth, exterminating us by the thousands, we understand the true meaning of what he said.

Now is the time we have realized how disproportionately great love for the Motherland can be. Our heroes, soldiers, volunteers, and public activists testify to this every day. They, despite the greatest threats, fatigue, and exhaustion, for six months, day after day, do not stop in this cruel war to bring our Victory closer.

Dear Polytechnicians! Today we defend not only the right to freedom, but also our right to life. Our Victory depends on everyone. At a time when the soldiers are restraining and beating the Moscow enemy at the front, we must fight in the rear in various ways. Study and work conscientiously, convey the truth to the world when you communicate with your friends from abroad, talk about Ukraine, about what our state is going through today...

Let’s remember: «Ukraine begins with you!». So, wherever you are, whatever you do, be worthy of the sacrifice of our soldiers!

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes!
