The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the State Enterprise Inforesource shared the results of the admissions campaign 2024. They published rankings of 10 popular universities and majors (for admission to government funded places or for grants, in particular), and also told where the highest passing score was.
In total, more than 753,000 applications were submitted in 2024. Of these, more than 675,000 applications were based on a complete general secondary education, and more than 78,000 were based on NQF 5 (i.e., from people with a professional junior bachelor’s degree, junior bachelor’s degree, and junior specialist degree).
More than 217,000 applicants applied, and more than 187,000 were enrolled.
The most popular majors by the number of applications were:
- 053 Psychology (54,394 applications);
- 073 Management (54,094);
- 035 Philology (45,682);
- 081 Law (44,286);
- 122 Computer Science (36,409)).
The most popular higher education institutions by the number of applications were:
- Lviv Polytechnic National University (33,788 applications);
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (32,772):
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (31,454);
- National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (27,218);
- Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (20,993).
