The European Commission SELFIE project was launched in the Lviv region in January of this year. Its purpose is to provide educational institutions with an effective tool for determining readiness for digital transformation. Applications for participation were submitted by about 900 educational institutions of the region.
At the first stage, in February-March, the project coordinators were trained to work with the tool and the mechanism of conducting the survey, which was organized on the basis of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies, the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, Lviv Polytechnic National University (the project coordinator in the Lviv region is the director of the Center Marharyta Noskova). They were shown how to use the SELFIE tool, its capabilities, and also were provided a step-by-step algorithm for introducing its use in an educational institution. Now they need to acquire the skills to analyze reports and build change plans.
The second stage started on May 11 with a Zoom seminar conducted by Tetiana Nanaieva, the national project coordinator. Almost half a thousand coordinators – teachers and directors of educational institutions of the Lviv region took part in the event.
Oleh Paska, director of the Department of Education and Science, Lviv Regional Military Administration, made a welcome speech. During the Zoom conference, Tetiana Nanaieva, the national expert of the SELFIE project in Ukraine, the head of the Expert Advisory Committee on Digital Technologies in Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, conducted a master class on the analysis of the received reports.
The seminar was moderated by Marharyta Noskova, director of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
«As you know, we plan to prepare an aggregated report of educational institutions of Lviv region, in particular, we want to present its intermediate results at the educational conference in August. In addition, we will continue to work with educational institutions participating in the SELFIE project in the future. In the 2023/2024 academic year, we will accompany educational institutions on the way to implementing the digital change plan. The Center for Innovative Educational Technologies will become the basis for such demanding work. We intend and hope that educational institutions will conduct the survey again in the spring of next year and see the dynamics of the positive changes that have happened», she said.
Marharyta Noskova also added that you can join the project now. For this, you must contact the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies, the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, Lviv Polytechnic National University, at ciot@lpnu.ua.
