On July 18, the 17th International School of Ukrainian Studies «Step to Ukraine», organized by the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, began its work. Despite the war, broke out by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, possible air strikes, the School opened virtual classrooms for students from nine countries of the world who are eager to learn the Ukrainian language, admire Ukrainian culture and believe in Ukraine.
Students from Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Lebanon, the USA, Georgia, Germany, Japan and Kazakhstan will have two weeks of intensive and interesting study, communication in a Ukrainian-speaking environment during speaking practices and discussion clubs, getting to know traditional and modern Ukraine, as well as meeting new friends.
This year, the School participants were also scholars of the Anna Kisil Scholarship, provided by the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations.
