On May 23–24, the XVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference on the Resources of the Natural Waters of the Carpathian region took place in Lviv Polytechnic.
The conference was attended by leading scientists and experts in the field of research, purification, use and protection of water resources from universities, research institutes, private companies and public organizations.
The topics of the conference traditionally cover a wide range of issues related to methods and technologies for analyzing the state of water resources and their hydrochemical composition, assessment of water resources, monitoring, rational use and protection of water resources, water supply of enterprises and settlements, modern methods and technologies for water preparation and purification, hydropower, recreational and balneological water use, quantitative and qualitative assessment of mineral waters, etc.
This year the conference topics also included the issues of management and the legislative base for water use as well as the water cadastre.
There was also published a collection of articles, which included 69 works. The Organizing Committee is pleased to note that this time the number of articles of young scholars, in particular postgraduates and students, has grown.
