The university faculty project «Academy for Heroes» announces enrollment in free courses on the AI Basics training for the children of veterans, active-duty military personnel, and fallen defenders of Ukraine.
AI Kids Academy is an interactive course of 12 trainings that introduces children aged 13–15 to the world of artificial intelligence through games, experiments and creative projects. The group consists of 15 people.
The program is structured from simple issues to more complex, progressing from foundational concepts of artificial intelligence to the development of original projects, including games, chatbots, musical compositions, and digital avatars. Each training session includes theory, practical exercises, collaborative team-based activities, experimental tasks, and thoughtfully designed homework assignments.
Classes will be held at the Veterans Training Center (Lviv, 3 Petrushevycha Sq.) every Saturday at 10:00 (first group) and 12:00 (second group). The duration of the training is 3 months.
During the course, children will learn how:
- to work with ChatGPT and create effective prompts,
- to generate images,
- to program in Python using AI,
- to understand the principles of machine learning,
- to create their own games and chatbots,
- to use AI.
They will also discuss ethical issues in the use of technology. Practical projects include creating comics, developing games, etc.
The training starts on February 7, 2026. After completing the course, children will receive a certificate for 1 ECTS credit. They will be ready to independently use artificial intelligence for learning, creativity and solving various tasks, and will also have basic knowledge for future professions in the field of technology.
