Lviv Polytechnic National University is consistently expanding its international relationships as the internationalization of education is one of the strategic priorities of our university. This direction is actively implemented due to the activities of the Centers for International Cooperation, which open up new opportunities for students, academics and partners of the university from all over the world.
There are following centers which operate at Lviv Polytechnic:
- Center for Chinese-Ukrainian Cooperation
- Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation
- Center for Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation
- Ukrainian-Japanese Center
- German-Ukrainian Educational Center
- National Center for the Baltic Universities Programme (BUP)
Each of the Centers contributes not only to the conclusion of agreements with foreign partners, but also to the deeper integration of Lviv Polytechnic into the European and global educational space.
The Center for Chinese-Ukrainian Cooperation actively attracts students from the People’s Republic of China, organizes language courses and promotes the establishment of partnerships with Chinese universities. In 2021–2025, it attracted more than 250 students from the PRC and published a Chinese language textbook.
Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation implements joint educational projects, language courses, and cultural events. From 2023 to 2025, it initiated four educational projects with the support of the Fondazione Valter Baldaccini.
During the activity of the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation, 26 cooperation agreements were concluded between Lviv Polytechnic and universities and enterprises in Italy.
Interinstitutional agreements within Easmus+KA1 were also initiated with:
- University of Trento;
- University of Messina;
- University of Salerno;
- University of Pescara;
- University of Tuscia.
The Center for Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation supports the participation of students and academic staff in the NAWA programme (in 2024, 550 participants took advantage of this opportunity) and promotes academic mobility.
The Ukrainian-Japanese Center is known for its double degree programme with the Japan University of Economics, Japanese language schools, as well as cultural events: exhibitions, master classes, and sports trainings.
The German-Ukrainian Educational Center provided 51 scholarships for dual education in Thuringia, and also organized numerous internships for academics and students.
Thanks to the activities of the German-Ukrainian Educational Center, it got possible to establish cooperation with universities and enterprises of the Land of Thuringia, in particular with the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, IHK Erfurt, and the company FAV Service gGmbH, which provides scholarships for dual education in Thuringia.
The BUP National Center coordinates the participation of Ukrainian universities in the Baltic University Programme, facilitates the holding of national meetings and the selection of participants for international student conferences. Coordination of the participation of Ukrainian universities in the BUP Program, in particular the holding of the national selection of participants for the international student conference BUP 2025 «Water and the Baltic City: Building Climate Resilience».
