An updated version of the January World Universities Web Ranking 2020 has been published.
The Australian company 4ICU (4 International Colleges & Universities) has been publishing its ranking since 2005, evaluating the popularity of more than 11 thousand universities in the world and 171 higher education institutions of Ukraine by the popularity of their web resources. According to the authors of the ranking, it helps international students, academic staff and researchers to understand how popular a specific HEI is in a particular foreign country.
The ranking uses the indicators of citation and the level of attendance at the university website. The current University Ranking is based upon an algorithm including 5 unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from 4 different web intelligence sources: Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, SimilarWeb Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains and Majestic Trust Flow.
Lviv Polytechnic National University improved its position by six points compared to last year’s January 4ICU ranking, and by three points compared to July ranking, and became one of the top four higher education institutions in Ukraine.
