The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announces a competitive selection of higher education institutions to establish research Centers of Excellence (CoRE).
The competition is held in separate priority areas defined by the Strategy for the Digital Development of Innovative Activity of Ukraine for the period until 2030, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 31, 2024 No. 1351.
The main functions of the center determine the areas of its activity, in particular:
- conducting applied scientific research as well as scientific and technical (experimental) developments to increase the scientific and technical potential of the state and the development of science-intensive innovations;
- rapid integration of scientific results that have practical application into the real sector of the economy;
- promoting the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics, engineering and technology.
Higher education institutions that, according to the results of the last state certification, are classified as groups A and/or B in the areas of Engineering and Technology and/or Natural Sciences and Mathematics can participate in the competition.
