On October 14–15, 2019 a delegation from Lviv Polytechnic National University, consisting of Oleh Matviikiv, Vice-rector for Education and International Relations, and Olena Lanets, Assistant at the Department of Technical Mechanics and Dynamics of Machines of the Institute of Engineering Mechanics and Transport, who coordinates the direction of academic mobility at the Center for International Education, participated in the 5th International Sister Cities Higher Education Alliance in Chengdu University.
The delegation’s visit began on 14 October with a friendly meeting with Vice President Peng Xiaolin, during which further cooperation between the universities was discussed and the mechanisms for such cooperation were agreed. The next day, on October 15, the second meeting of the International Alliance at Chengdu University took place. At the meeting there were accepted 6 new members, including Lviv Polytechnic. On behalf of the new members of the Alliance Oleh Matviikiv, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, was called upon to make a speech.
