The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2022 is a world ranking, the results of which reflect the efforts of universities to solve problems of sustainability and impact on the environment.
The ranking takes into account the general improvement of the campus, the convenience of the infrastructure, the availability of environmentally oriented educational courses, the use of energy-efficient technologies, waste recycling and water conservation programs, reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, etc.
In 2022, 1,050 universities from 85 countries took part in the ranking, including 17 Ukrainian institutions of higher education. Lviv Polytechnic National University took the 399th position in the world and the fourth in Ukraine.
