The Opole University of Technology (Politechnika Opolska) handed over three generators to Lviv Polytechnic National University: two smaller generators of 5 and 8 kW and one large and powerful that weighs almost a ton and is mobile, as it is placed on a trailer.
Yuriy Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, appealed to the rectors of Polish universities with a request to consider the possibility of providing assistance, namely generators. The Opole University of Technology responded to this request.
The generators were delivered from the Republic of Poland to Lviv thanks to the efforts of the heads of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid, Volodymyr Shepitchak and Yuriy Malynovskyi.
– We all know how acute the problem with electricity is now – we need to provide power to critical facilities: servers, boiler rooms, etc. The Poles responded to Yuriy Bobalo’s request, because the whole world is united in the fight against the Russian invaders. We do not stop working in this direction, so that with each new step we deliver the necessary things for Polytechnic, which ensure the possibility of uninterrupted work of the University, said Yuriy Malynovskyi.
Volodymyr Shepitchak said that these generators will be used not only in emergency situations, but also to solve various work issues by the administrative and economic part of the university, when it will not be possible to connect to the stationary power supply.
Let us remind you that Lviv Polytechnic University handed over the Starlink satellite internet stations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
