The Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid, Lviv Polytechnic National University, delivered four Starlink satellite internet stations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since the first days of the war, the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid has been operating at Lviv Polytechnic. It has focused its efforts on supporting the Ukrainian military and internally displaced persons. The other day, due to the work of the Center, a batch of Starlink stations which provide access to broadband Internet in any corner of the planet, was delivered. These means of communication were transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Volodymyr Shepitchak, head of the Department of Labor Protection, Lviv Polytechnic, and one of the heads of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid, said that friends and partners of Polytechnic who are abroad helped to buy these Starlinks.
«These stations with a premium package will enable the military to provide reliable and uninterrupted Internet, which is critically important in modern warfare», said Volodymyr Shepitchak.
Yurii Malynovskyi, who is also one of the heads of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid, added that purchasing Starlink satellite internet stations is not a simple procedure.
«It took an approximately four weeks to receive them delivered to Poland, from where they were already brought to Lviv. It must be understood that now various companies are purchasing large batches of Starlinks for civilian needs. Therefore, when there is an opportunity we immediately look for it, purchase these communication stations, hand them over to the military and thus bring our common victory over the enemy one step closer», said Yurii Malynovskyi.
We would like to add that this is not the first time that Lviv Polytechnic participates in the delivery of Starlink satellite Internet stations to the military.
