6 programs, 46 mentors and 280 students. Despite the war and the difficult situation in the country, in the winter-spring semester the teamwork of mentors and students was launched within the IT Expert project. These modernized educational IT programs have been operating at three universities in Lviv.

Cooperation of students with experienced mentors from the IT industry is one of the most important areas of IT Expert. Every semester, Strong Junior, Middle and Senior specialists work with teams of 5-6 students and help create projects. This approach to training allows students to learn from the best practices in IT, and companies - to invest directly in their future employees.

This semester is also notable for the fact that teamwork first started in three educational programs, including DevOps & Project Management at Lviv Polytechnic National University.

16 teams of freshmen started working with mentors on this program. Lviv IT Cluster only started supporting it last year, so it is a new experience for students and teachers of the Department of Information Systems and Networks, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies. Mentors of companies whose services and products are used all over the world work with students. These are specialists from SoftServe, Ciklum, Inoxoft, Intellias, Forbytes, Perfectial, GameLoft, Newfire Partners, FareHarbor and Reenbit.

Another 13 teams are working with mentors in Business Analytics and Data Science. Students develop programs for the management of medical laboratories, applications to facilitate the learning process for children with dyslexia, services for learning Ukrainian sign language, programs for recognizing fakes and other useful projects.

- Due to the teamwork, students gain the necessary practical skills and abilities that can be used in the future while working in high-paying positions in IT companies and contribute to the victory and reconstruction of Ukraine after the war, - says Vasyl Lytvyn, curator of DevOps & Project Management and Business Analytics & Data Science, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Networks, Lviv Polytechnic.
