On December 21, 2023, on the eve of the Christmas, eleventh-graders of the Netishyn Academic Lyceum in Khmelnytskyi region visited Lviv. This is one of the best educational institution in the city of Netishyn and Khmelnytskyi region as well.
11th grade has a Mathematics specialization. Among its schoolchildren there are this year’s winners of the Olympiads in mathematics, physics, informatics, Ukrainian language, economics, biology, and astronomy. Now, children are preparing for the regional stage of the Olympiad. They are also members of the Small Academy of Sciences. Last year, one lyceum student became a prize-winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of research works. She has been receiving a scholarship from the President of Ukraine.
It was nice to learn that the students are interested not only in the local pre-holiday atmosphere, but also in the opportunity to continue their studies at Lviv Polytechnic National University. Therefore, University staff organized and conducted a tour of the main building for them. In particular, the schoolchildren visited the Assembly Hall with paintings by Jan Matejko, the Zachariewicz Hall, as well as the History Museum of Lviv Polytechnic.
The students were also presented with A handbook for Lviv Polytechnic entrant, which fully covers the educational services of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Oksana Kalabska, mother of lyceum student Violetta, expressed the gratitude to all the organizers of the event, and also informed that this excursion convinced her daughter to enter Lviv Polytechnic.
