The team of Lviv Polytechnic National University, selected by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council, completed training on Module 1. «The Role of the University in the Context of Social Transformations» of the Academic Managers Professional Development Program within the implementation framework of the World Bank project Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project – UIHERP.
The goal of the Academic Managers Professional Development program is to strengthen the institutional capacity of higher education institutions in Ukraine by enhancing the competencies of academic managers in such areas as higher education transformation, good governance, strategic and financial management, human resource management, internationalization, and institutional change.
During the Module 1 training at the Ukrainian Catholic University, numerous panel discussions were held on topical issues, including:
- a public university;
- interaction with employers;
- dual and practice-oriented education;
- applied science;
- public service of the university;
- interaction and communication with the community;
etc.
The training also included a series of networking and practical activities, in which the Lviv Polytechnic team – led by Nazarii Popadynets and comprising Taras Kitsak, Anna Helesh, Mariia Rashkevych, Nataliia Batkovets, Mariia Bondarchuk, Orystlava Sydorchuk, and Ruslana Huminilovych – participated actively and productively.
Sincere gratitude is extended to the trainers and mentors of the program – Dmytro Sherenhovskyi, Mykola Trofymenko, Svitlana Kalashnikova, Roman Shuliar, Solomiia Maksymovych, Oleksii Molchanovskyi, Taras Dobko, and others – for their valuable guidance, shared expertise, and the knowledge gained throughout the training.
