On June 19, 2026, the renowned Spichlerz Gallery at the University of Agriculture in Krakow will host the opening of the exhibition and a seminar on Design in Wartime. The event will bring together students and faculty members from Lviv Polytechnic National University, TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), and the University of Agriculture in Krakow.

The program will feature the presentation of artistic and design works created as reflections on the experience of war, as well as a professional discussion on the role of design in times of crisis, its social responsibility, and its capacity to shape new cultural narratives.

The event is being held under the patronage of Professor Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, and Professor Sylwester Tabor, Rector of the University of Agriculture in Krakow. It is also supported by the Consuls General of Ukraine and Austria in Poland.

The organizers emphasize that Design in Wartime serves as an international platform for academic and creative dialogue, bringing together the university communities of Ukraine, Poland, and Austria to explore issues of cultural resilience, new approaches to spatial design, and the transformative role of design during times of war.
