Lviv Polytechnic retains its position among Ukrainian universities with the highest inventive activity

Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovation (UANIPIO / IP Office) informs about the main performance indicators for the first three months of 2025 by publishing an analytical and statistical booklet «Intellectual Property in Figures. First Quarter of 2025».

Intellectual property remains an important component of the country’s economic development, maintaining positive dynamics and development. Even in difficult conditions, Ukrainian business and the innovation environment continue to work, looking for new solutions and adapting to the realities of wartime.

Thus, in the first quarter of 2025, a total of 7241 applications were filed, and the total number of registrations increased by 16.7% (5635) compared to the same period in 2024.

Among the institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the list of institutions with the highest inventive activity is headed by the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, which filed 41 applications. The National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (35 applications), Lviv Polytechnic National University and Central Ukrainian National Technical University (30 applications each) also have high application rates.
