Mitsubishi Electric Corporation handed over educational equipment worth about 70,000 euros to Lviv Polytechnic National University.

The equipment was provided for the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, Lviv Polytechnic. Professor Fedir Matiko, Head of the Department of Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies, appealed to Mitsubishi Electric Corporation to update the laboratory base, and the company responded to the University’s request. With the assistance of Yurii Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, and Lviv Regional Military Administration, the equipment was delivered from Germany to Lviv.

According to Andrii Lozynskyi, Director of the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, such technical complexes have not been at the University yet. We are talking about three robots: the first is a six-stage robotic arm, the second is a four-stage robot of the SCADA system, and the third is a spider robot of the DELTA system. The first two robots have already been delivered to the University, the third robot is currently in Poland, and will be delivered soon.

In addition to the mentioned robots, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has donated several training controllers for programming.

– The equipment will be used for educational purposes, possibly for conducting scientific works. This equipment will enable students studying at the Department of Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies to master robotic complexes used in production, noted Andrii Lozynskyi.

In the near future, the equipment will be installed and be available to students.
