The Department of Employment and Industrial Relations in partnership with the Department of Human Resource Management and Administration, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic, organized another meeting for students with Hanna Tytarenko, Employer Branding Manager at OKKO.
During the event, the representative of OKKO shared many valuable tips with students who are looking for their place in the labour market.
In particular, students learned:
- where to look for a job: Hanna Tytarenko talked about various sources and possibilities of job search, in particular about Internet platforms and relations with employers;
- how to write a resume correctly: the speaker explained in detail how to create an effective resume, noting the key aspects that attract the attention of employers;
- where students can gain work experience: the guest shared tips on how to gain work experience during student years, including internships, volunteering and other opportunities.
The meeting was productive and useful for students, as they learned about tools that will help them in their future career development. Employers are looking for qualified young specialists, and this knowledge will help Polytechnicians stand out amongst their competitors.
― Such meetings give students the opportunity not only to hear about important techniques to find their first job and practical tools for employment from the employer, but also to develop a vision of their career trajectory. They can also learn about a potential employer, evaluate the corporate culture of the company, its social responsibility, learn about employment and career growth opportunities, ask about everything that interests them, and send the resume if this is the place where they would like to work, – says Svitlana Hladun, Head of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations.
