The Department of Political Science and International Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the team of the Project «EU Eastern Partnership Initiative: Opportunities for Ukraine» within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ program, Jean Monnet Actions, have announced an essay competition on the topic «How important for Ukraine is the status of a candidate for EU membership?».
The purpose of the competition is to involve young people (students and schoolchildren of 9–11 grades) in discussing the European integration opportunities for Ukraine.
To participate in the competition, you need to write an essay of 600–700 words on any of the following topics:
- «Why is European integration important for Ukraine?»
- «Success stories of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union»
- «Is the European integration of Ukraine important for young people?»
- «How will Ukraine change as a result of acquiring the status of a candidate for EU membership?»
- «Is Russian aggression an obstacle to Ukraine’s accession to the EU?»
- «What can I do to bring Ukraine closer to the European Union?»
The deadline for essays submission is October 25, 2022 inclusive.
