On March 28–29, 2024, the 5th International Conference of Young Scientists «Innovative and Investment Development of Business in Conditions of Economic Disturbances» was held at the Department of Business Economics and Investment, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Orest Koleshchuk, Head of the BEI Department, opened the conference. In his speech he expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to hold the event, and also emphasized the importance of continuing scientific work in the conditions of war and the relevance of this year’s conference topics, and wished all participants fruitful work and a quick victory in the war with aggressor.
The conference participants were addressed by:
- Volodymyr Zhezhukha – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University;
- Viktoriia Chobitok – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Marketing and Trade Entrepreneurship of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, V. Karazin Kharkiv National University;
- Liliana Horal – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Taxation of the Institute of Economics and Management, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas;
- Tetiana Tsyfra – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Management, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
Scientists shared their views on business development in the current conditions, emphasizing the importance of innovation and investment for the stabilization and development of economic systems.
This year, the conference became a real center of knowledge exchange, more than 200 scientific works were submitted by representatives from 37 institutions of higher education, reflecting important and modern aspects of business development in conditions of economic instability. Conference participants actively discussed strategies and practical solutions for innovation and investment growth in difficult economic conditions.
The conference took place in a hybrid format, ensuring the participation of many famous scientists, students of higher education and young scientists in the following areas:
- Digital transformation and innovation in business;
- Financial and economic mechanisms of business development in conditions of uncertainty;
- Economic development of regions: intelligence, society, innovations;
- Innovative and investment development of business: adaptation to global challenges.
The organizers of the conference express their sincere gratitude to the participants for their active participation and interest in the discussion of important issues facing modern business and the economy in general. We hope that the acquired knowledge and ideas will become a fruitful source for further research and business development in the face of economic challenges.
