On March 3–4, 2023, the internal academic mobility of students majoring in specialty 029 «Information, library and archival affairs» took place on the basis of bilateral agreements between Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, and the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, National Lviv Polytechnic University.
Topics discussed:
- Using Internet services to create multimedia content for social networks (module 1);
- Internet services for visualization of textual information (module 2);
- Marketing in social media on the Internet (module 3);
- How not to drown in the information space of the Internet (module 4);
- Safety in social networks (module 5).
The total duration of the event is 15 hours, 0.5 ECTS credit. The final event of the mobility program was the exciting «Knight Tournament of Ibasaurus SKID-ISU».
Faculty of the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities were involved in the organization of the event, including Associate Professor Oleksandr Markovets, CScTech, Head of the SCIA Department; senior lecturer Nestor Dumanskyi, Deputy Head of the Department; Associate Professor Mariia Komova, Doctor in Social Communication, Candidate of Philological Sciences; Associate Professor Nataliia Khymytsia, Candidate of Historical Sciences.
The educational program was compiled in accordance with the educational programs of Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University «Documentation and information activities», «Documentation and information support of management activities» and the educational program of Lviv Polytechnic National University «Social communications and information activities» and included modules that ensure the acquisition of necessary competencies (systematic self-improvement, professional mobility, ability to think critically, creativity, entrepreneurship, ability to work independently, readiness to work in a team).
Andrii Pavlyshyn, Head of the University Promotion Center, Assistant at the Department of History, Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage, Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, led a tour of the main building, the Assembly Hall, and the Museum of History of Lviv Polytechnic, letting students enjoy the exquisiteness of architectural forms and historical heritage. The students also visited the Scientific and Technical Library of the University, familiarized themselves with its funds and catalogs. An interesting tour of the library halls conducted by Olena Kharheliia, Deputy Director of the library, a demonstration of the process of scanning valuable and rare books once again convinced the students of specialty 029 of the uniqueness of the profession of a modern librarian.
