On May 21–23, 2024, Marketing and Logistics Department teachers of the Economics and Management Institute in Lviv Polytechnic, associate professors Taisiia Nakonechna and Nataliia Mashchak held a "Green School" at the "Malyuk" elementary school with a preschool department of the Lviv City Council.
On May 21, Taisiia Nakonechna and Nataliia Mashchak organized the "Green Class" and conducted outdoor classes on the topic: "Promotion of conscious consumption: European practices." The class purpose was to form children's environmental awareness, develop the conscious consumption skills, activate participation in socially beneficial work together with parents, care for the environment, ecological knowledge and skills popularization. Within the lecture framework, children were involved in research activities, critical thinking and creativity development, skills formation to work in a team and opinions expression. At the end of the "Green School"first day, Taisiia Nakonechna and Nataliia Mashchak held a handicraft master class on making medals from environmentally friendly materials.
On May 22, Nataliia Mashchak organized an outdoor team quest "Environment Guardians ", which consisted of 5 stations, at each schoolchildren performed various tasks on environmental topics and received points. Taisiia Nakonechna involved teams in creating and presenting the wall newspaper "Our Future" to raise awareness of the climate change consequences.
On May 23, schoolchildren presented an ecological play "Let's save the earth for the future", the script was written in advance by Taisiia Nakonechna and Nataliia Mashchak. The event ended with summing up the "Green School" results, awarding the participants with gifts and presenting personal medals.
Project team members Taisiia Nakonechna and Nataliia Mashchak express their gratitude to "Malyuk" primary school principal Oksana Rosipska, teachers Nataliia Budzinska and Lesia Paplyk for their cooperation, as well as all the participants of the "Green School" event.
This event was held within the project "Dissemination of EU practices through e-marketing, conscious consumption, circular economy, resource efficiency" ("E-marketing of conscious consuming") of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module program.
