This is a competition of applied science projects, which will last until December 10, 2021 and consist of three stages. The first – at the level of institute councils of young scientists (until November 15), the second – the University Council of Young Scientists (until November 26) and the final third – at the level of the university administration.
According to Ivan Tymchuk, head of the Council of Young Scientists, Lviv Polytechnic, to participate in the competition you must submit the required documents to the Council of Young Scientists of your institution till November 8.
The participants of the competition can be young scientists of the University under the age of 35, Doctoral Candidates and Doctors of Sciences – up to 40. The main criterion for receiving grants is the focus on projects with a real result.
Projects will be evaluated at each stage, in accordance with the requirements set out in the Regulations of the competition. Funding will be provided through internal research funds only if the contestants offer projects with a real result.
For future projects, the Polytechnic Administration has proposed the following priority areas:
- Temperature screening using infrared sensors;
- Environmental and energy efficient technologies;
- Security systems based on information technologies.
However, authors can independently choose topics for projects, given their topicality.
