Two members of the Small Academy of Sciences, who won 18 medals at the International Show INOVA 2021, are now studying at the University

For the first time, students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine won 18 medals at the International Innovation Show INOVA 2021, which took place in Zagreb (Croatia) from October 12 to 17 2021.

«The team of the Small Academy of Sciences, which included 18 Ukrainian schoolchildren, won 13 gold, 5 silver medals, and two special awards. The World Intellectual Property Organization recognized the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as the best international delegation. I am proud of the achievements of our young innovators and mentors. Due to your efforts, Ukraine is known all over the world», said Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.

Among those who won gold there are two current students of Lviv Polytechnic National University: Oleksandr Borylo and Mykhailo Mamchur.

It should be noted that this is not the only international success of Lviv Polytechnicians. In particular, Oleksandr Borylo, a student of the Institute of Computer Technologies Automation and Metrology, majoring in the Internet of Things, received a gold medal and a special award STEM National Association: Promising Young Entrepreneur Award for the project «Method of safe dissipation of pulsed water flows in coffee production» (Department of Physics and Astronomy, Section of Theoretical Physics) at Malaysia Technology Expo 2021.

Mykhailo Mamchur, a student at the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic, who is majoring in the Artificial Intelligence Systems, has already participated in the Brazilian International Invention Fair of Inventions, and the Croatian-Malaysian International Expo on Innovation, where he won silver in the category Information and Communication Technologies. Also he is the winner at the international events from the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2020–2021 academic year.
