Innovative Training Networks

Innovative Training Networks is one of the types of Maria Skłodowska-Curie Actions aimed to support high-quality teaching (obtaining a scientific degree) in the field of innovative research within: European Training Networks (ETN); European Industrial Doc­to­rates (EID) and European Joint Docto­rates (EJD).

Target audience: Early-stage researchers are in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. There are no restrictions on country of residence or nationality.

Participation conditions: The minimum number of institutions for innovative training networks creation:

  1. ETN: three institutions located in different EU-Member States or Horizon 2020 Associated Countries;
  2. EID: two institutions located in different EU-Member States or Horizon 2020 Associated Countries (one beneficiary must be from the academic sector that can award doctoral degree and at least one beneficiary must come from the non-academic sector [primarily enterprises]);
  3. EJD: three institutions located in different EU-Member States or Horizon 2020 Associated Countries.

EU contribution: Funded expanses:

  1. training of the researcher up to three years (with researcher the agreement is conducted on which he/she monthly receives living allowance, social insurance, mobility allowance and family allowance);
  2. research work, organization of joint events and conferences, and network expanses;
  3. managing expanses and overheads.

The maximum duration of the project is four years.

Host organisation: universities, research centres, companies (SMEs), and other non-academic institutions.

Research topics are arbitrary (excluding topics specified in the Euratom Аgreement).
