International Activity of the Institute

IEM are actively developing international relations within the framework of bilateral and multilateral international agreements. The agreements define the main areas of cooperation with foreign educational institutional and serve as a basis for the implementation of specific areas of educational, scientific, socio-cultural activities, practical training and internships, allow mutual exchange of information. In particular, INEM has concluded 28 agreements with academic partners, of which 18 are international, and is cooperating on 59 framework interuniversity agreements.

The partnership in the field of international academic mobility is implemented, among others, together with Kingston University (London, UK), Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of Tampere (Finland); East Opphielen University of Applied Sciences and Arts, University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Lemgo, Germany), Vilnius University (Lithuania); Universities of Poland - Marie Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin), Kozminski University (Warsaw), Poznan Polytechnic, University of Perugia (Italy), University of Rome “Mercatorum”, (Italiy).

Since 2012, the program of double diplomas provides training for masters of the Institute of Economics and Management at the Mining and Metallurgical Academy named Stanislaw Staszyc (Krakow, Poland) majoring in Enterprise Finance Management. During this time, about 350 IEM students studied under this program. Double degree agreements have also been concluded with the following Polish universities: Higher School of Economics in Białystok, University of Economics in Wrocław, Higher School of Business in Dabrowa Gornicza, Rzeszów Higher School of Engineering and Economics, Poznan Polytechnic.

The value for IEM students is the formation of knowledge and skills as a result of a combination of education and research, the development of their research activities in the form of participation in international scientific and student conferences, creative competitions of student research papers and more. For example, IEM partners for more than 10 years are the S. Stashytsya Mining and Metallurgical Academy, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University. IEM co-organizes annual scientific events: the International Scientific Youth Forum "Litteris et Artibus", international scientific and practical conferences of young scientists, which are held with the support of numerous partners.

IEM actively cooperates with other divisions of Lviv Polytechnic National University (Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education, Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education) in the implementation of joint educational, infrastructure projects and international grants. The international partnership is particularly active with the European Commission (J. Monnet grants) and Poznan Polytechnic. 

In the process of study, students of the Institute of Economics and Management actively participate in international exchanges aimed at strengthening the relationships of young people, improving foreign language skills, raising awareness of the cultural characteristics of the regions visited. One of the main partners of the Institute of Economics and Management, which promotes the expansion of student cultural exchanges, is the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the European Student Organization BEST (Board of European Students of Technology).
